“There is an obvious leadership problem at the City of Santa Fe”
Via Jay Baker:
DOUCHEBAG ALERT
Mayor Webber – you really stepped in the dog đ© with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, didnât you?
I do wonder how much influence City Manager John Blair had on your decision to cast blame on the Governor. Our guess is he was instrumental in your decision to point the finger at the Governor.
MLG is right – definitely a leadership problem in City Hall.
âââââââ
âMayor Webberâs remarks during his deposition amount to an egregious mischaracterization of our conversation,” the governor said in a statement.
“Instead of leading on this issue, Mayor Webber is attempting to pass the buck and spread blame,” Lujan Grisham said. “That gets us nowhere, and he should be ashamed of himself for not owning his inaction when asked about it. There is an obvious leadership problem at the City of Santa Fe.”
MLG isn’t having any of it as they continue to blame each other. The locals KNOW he was part of paying the out of state individual to start it all in the first place. Puto!

Comments online and from the New Mexican:
- GREAT SUGGESTION! I’ll be kicking back with the popcorn to watch the back and forthđđ
- MLG’s not perfect, but she would not have meandered right into the mess of it, as Webber did, apparently listening to radicals of only one contingent in our complex community. Even what he admitted, was a clear warning from her. I’ll bet she told him more — you know, the stuff he can’t remember? Some of us realize we are long-time newbies, Alan.
- Why would the Mayor be blaming his fellow Dem Gov when he could be blaming Trump?
- Oooh this could get spicy, go on I’m listeningâŠ.
- The Mayor has pretty much zero credibility with multiple segments of Santa Feâs demographically diverse community. While his attempt to defer and deflect in the deposition are not unexpected, it pretty much makes meaningless any words he speaks going forward. He should resign, but he wonât.
- The Mayor owns this fiasco! The mayor needs to resign for dereliction of duty!
- His leadership has divided our city!
- Where is the city council on all this mess?
- The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
- Looks like Alan is in T-R-O-U-B-L-E with his former ally and friend MLG.
- Typical of Alan blaming others for his incompetence. Again Alan lied to my face when I was President of Los Caballeros DeVargas and told me that the Statue of Don Diego DseVargas was in a safe city facility, but then as most know I found it off of HWY 14 in a yard not secured. When I mentioned this to Alan he then blamed his former Parks Director John Munoz, but fortunately, Mr. Munoz had reached out to me earlier to tell me that the Mayor was going to try and spin this on him and play me for a fool. You see a pattern here people. The REAL FOOLS are those of you who elected Alan as Mayor of this city. It’s because of you FOOLS that our once Proud Santa Fe is in SHAMBLES and has become a City DIVIDED instead of UNITED under Alan Webber and his regime. Since 2020 this issue has been brought up time and time again with no resolution because you have a Mayor who is a RACIST and has shown time and time again his Hatred of the Hispanic Culture, Traditions, and History by doing what he’s been doing to destory erase it. Now GOVERNOR MLG is M-A-D at her once friend Alan for THROWING HER UNDER THE BUS, but the fact is they both were in CAHOOTS in their attempt to remove the Soldiers Monument from the Plaza. IMO they both are to blame for events that have happened here in Santa Fe. HATS OFF to LA UNION PROCTECTIVA for being the only organization to stand up to Webber and call him out for his WRONG DOINGS to SANTA FE. 2 more years of the WEBBER REGIME only give Alan and his MINIONS more time to continue their vigorous assault on the Hispanic Culture and more time to erase more and more of Santa Fe’s RICH AND PROUD HISTORY. To quote the late Charlie “THE GREEK” Griego
- “WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE SANTA FE”
- Wait for itâŠsoon heâll be telling MLG ânot to get her panties in a twistâ like he told me when he followed me into his small kitchenetteâuninvitedâwhen no one was watching. And of course later on, he says âI donât recallâ the sexually hostile incident.
- For fellow Progressive Governor Michelle Lujan Grishom to say Alan Webber should be Ashamed is indicitve of his character. Webber’s shameful behavior has been revealed all too many times during his tenure as mayor with his lies, incompetence and most of all his divisive attacks on our rich Hispanic history, culture and traditions. Unfortunately his arrogance will not allow him to Resign for the good of the City of Holy Faith a.k.a. La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asis!
- A leadership problem at City Hall? Hmm.. Isn’t that what Jay Baker has been reporting to us for months and months? Well I’m glad MLG spoke up. Yup, Webber should be ashamed of himself! “No Comment” from City Hall. Webber, Oh what a wicked web you weave when you practice to deceive!
- OMG…MLG v. Alan Webber…talk about a Dream come true! Thank you political gods.
