From a follower – Open questions for all City Council Candidates – ask them for an answer when they ask for your vote.
To date, all candidates have been very unclear on these topics that are very important to Santa Feans. These questions will tell what stance these council candidates will take as this has been part of Webber’s agenda since he took office.
What is their stance on the Plaza Obelisk – will it be restored or replaced? When? It’s been over three years since Webber and the Three Sisters Collective destroyed it.
What is there stance on bringing back Don Diego Vargas statue to the Cathedral Park? It’s been three years since Webber paid a contractor to remove it without public input.
What is there stance on the Fiesta Court continuing to visit the school during school hours as it always has? As we all know, two of Webber’s political allies on the school board tried to renege on an earlier school board decision to allow these visits.
What is their stance on the City name being changed from Santa Fe to Oge Po’geh? (Alma Castro works with the Three Sisters “Land Back” movement.) Alma, can you commit to giving your “land back” first?
If a candidate for city council asks for your vote, ask them for their positions on these issues.
