Via Jay Baker: Alan, seriously, how many damn times does the City need to screw up before they can manage to do their jobs right? The Land Use Department is a complete circus – they can’t even get a grip on enforcing the building code, let alone figure out which damn code to cite.
Rumor has it the City’s on the verge of drowning in slander of title lawsuits because they’re slapping residents with codes that have absolutely no connection to reality. It’s like dealing with a bunch of toddlers. Jason Kluck and his sorry excuse for a department need a reality check and some serious schooling on how things actually work. But, of course, Kluck’s too busy being useless to bother responding to an email or a call.
Before harassing experienced developers who understand the Land Use code better in their sleep than you ever will, maybe take a minute to consult with the City Attorney. Oh, wait, having Erin McSherry review anything is basically the blind leading the blind.
The Land Use Department is a complete joke, and, shocker, the City is now juggling a whopping 34 pending lawsuits.
