Webber Covering for His Candidates???
Ethics Complaints are hitting the fan, with Geno Zamora, Phil Lucero, and Pilar Faulkner finding themselves in hot water. But where’s the media coverage on this? The New Mexican and Santa Fe Reporter seem strangely silent. Could it be due to the involvement of their political operative, Sandra Weschler, who has close ties to the Webber Cartel? Let’s not forget that Weschler is also running the PAC supporting Jamie Cassutt’s regurgitated affordable housing tax.
These candidates have some explaining to do. Their financial reports are murky, concealing the whereabouts of over THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS in payments. An ethics hearing should have been on the horizon, but it appears that Webber has stalled the hearing process, dragging his feet in the hopes that his favored candidates won’t have to face the music until after the election. What’s going on here? Santa Fe residents deserve transparency and accountability, and it’s time the spotlight was shone on these matters.
