The Santa Fe New Mexican had a large hand and role in creating the monster failure that is Mayor Alan M. Webber
Mayor Alan Webber was endorsed twice by the SFNM despite his long list of failures and unethical behavior.
The local media helped enable Mayor Webber and his CFO Mary McCoy (Danny Maki ) to perform poorly on their jobs. It is quite evident to everyone that comes into contact with these two that they are incompetent and unqualified.
Mary McCoys poor behavior, mean-spirited attitude and retaliatory actions towards finance department staff that speak up and try and do their jobs is the reason for the high vacancy rating. Anybody with any experience and common sense was attacked by Mary McCoys and her minions. Finance staff didn’t put up with it and left. These are experienced and hard-working people that got tired of the ineptitude of Mary McCoy. I do not think, none of us think, the new staff that has been hired will stick around. Once they experienced Mary McCoy’s tantrums and incompetence, they will leave quickly.
This piss poor performance by Webber’s appointed directors is par for the course in Santa Fe city government.
Harassing competent employees by inexperienced and on qualified senior managers and directors really is business as usual for the city.
I only hope that the new Mexican realizes what they did by endorsing this incompetent buffoon. They have created a toxic work environment. They have enabled the mayor and his senior, incompetent directors to. further this toxic workplace.
It’s a shame that the wealthy, elitist east side transplants from California and New York joined forces with the unethical progressive spawns of hate, Sandra Weschler, Danny Maki, Paul Dirdak and Carlos Trujillo to thrust four more years of misery upon the City of Santa Fe and its residents.
It’s a shame that State Auditor Brian Colon is too busy running for another elected office to actually do his job and direct the State of New Mexico to take over the City’s finances.
Perhaps Colon doesn’t deserve votes from any of us!
Alan, love, we’ve had long conversations about this. Please be honest with your wife. Please be honest with yourself. Life is too short to be miserable. Listen to the mayo clinic doctors. Resign. Continue treatment. This is what’s best for all of us, love.
