If Mayor Alan M. Webber’s CFO Mary McCoy wants to know the primary reason for such high turnover in Finance, all she needs to do is look in the mirror.
She disrespected, ignored, and made the office environment so unbearable for so many of the people who could have helped her succeed that they all left, taking their institutional knowledge out the door with them.
The chickens have come home to roost for McCoy and Mayor Alan Webber .
Just compare the Finance contact list from July 2018 to July 2020 and see who left in just two short years.
And the 40% vacancy rate isn’t just because of the pandemic. It’s her, and her inability to get an audit report out on time, even with all the consultants she brought in (and how many hundreds of thousands of dollars?) to ensure it got out on time.
Who wants to add “City of Santa Fe Finance Department” to their resume, given its current reputation? Only a fool.
